Possibly my favourite shot EVER of Gaia.
I went home for the Easter weekend, along with Ashley, and we walked up the mountain behind my old house to get some snaps (because I realised Gaia and Loki didn't have many new photos)
It was strange, the sky was ominously stormy on one side, and bright blue, without a cloud in the sky on the other. Put that together, and you get this picture. Sweet!
THANKS FOR THE DD! 'Tis a dream come true!
I've yet to have seen any model horse photography pieces featured, and the model horse collecting hobby is huge. I feel this is one of my best shots to date. I climbed a small mountain to find the right setting, and lighting, producing the illusion that the environment was the same scale as the model (1/9th).
I think the beauty and realism the hobby strives for is in need of a bit of respect, and appreciation.
it also encourages young collectors to try their hand at creative photography.
The horse featured in this image is actually one I designed myself, which was brought to life by the company 'Stone Horses', based upon my character "Gaia" from the upcoming Comic "Conquering Tide". Conquering Tide was originally a series on YouTube. Written, filmed and directed by a very youthful me. (feel free to look it up, the username is CinnamonMewMew, but be prepared to cringe!)
I am now developing the story to be released as a webcomic. So keep an eye out for the first few pages, which will hopefully be released by the end of summer 2013.
